SHIPPING DISCLAIMER & RATES We make use of FedEx an independent shipping carrier and are not responsible for any shipping delays caused as a result of the carriers actions.
Shipping rates are determined by your choice of product, weight of the order and the destination zip code.
We attempt to expedite all orders so as to ship as soon as possible however please note that we DO NOT ship orders on the same day as placed. Shipping Date, Method and Carrier as well as relevant S & H charges are confirmed 24 hours after the order has been submitted and shipping will normally take place the first business day after final confirmation. The "Next Day" method of shipping choice offered refers to shipping "Overnight Air" and does NOT mean that your order will be shipped or be delivered by the next day. The time period indicated by FedEx for the different methods of shipping on the ship method selection page refers to the transit time period and not how soon the order will be delivered by. A signature will be required for delivery of Ground orders in excess of $200.00 if the signature requirement is waived by the buyer then all responsibilty of delivery of the package rests with the buyer
FedEx does not ship to P.O. Box numbers so please provide a physical shipping address (The only exceptions made for PO Box numbers are APO orders as we support our troops) No liability is accepted by the shipper for orders not received or not received on time due to the provision of an incorrect shipping address.
The carriers charge for address corrections or any changes and in the event of an address change you will be billed for an amount of $12.50. Please ensure that you have included a full and complete physical shipping address along with business name if the order is to be shipped to your place of work.
Overnight Air delivery must be selected for all perishables such as Boerewors, Pork Bangers, Sausage Rolls and Meat Pies as these products are shipped frozen for delivery within 24 hours. (Next Day Ground shipping which is 50% cheaper than Air is available from Charlotte NC to the following destinations: All of NC, SC, south as far as Atlanta & Macon GA, north as far as Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Charlottesville and Richmond VA, and as far west as Knoxville TN) Please also ensure that someone is available at the shipping address submitted to receive and sign for the package. S & H RATES:The S & H rates indicated below are GUIDELINES ONLY and may vary based on destination, carrier and method of shipping.
S & H for Standard Overnight Air is a base cost of $30.00 and then add $3.00 for each additional lb.
The aproximate rate for Ground shipping is $11.00 for the first lb and then add $0.50 for each additional lb.
If an order is deemed as undeliverable by the carrier and returned then any return shipping costs incurred will be billed to the purchaser. Return Policy: We provide a money back customer satisfaction guarantee however customer returns or claims can only be approved and accepted by a company official and must be made within 7 days of receipt. Such approved returns will be credited in full at the discretion of a company officer upon receipt of the defective item.
We do not accept responsibility for losses incurred if perishables are not stored in the prescribed manner upon receipt or where an incorrect shipping address is provided or where no one is available to receive a shipped package.
Biltong orders received within 7 days of shipment will not deteriorate during transit however Biltong can develop mould if not stored correctly and should be stored frozen upon receipt if not required for immediate consumption. We do not accept liability for the condition of Biltong which has not been stored in the prescribed manner after the date delivered as confirmed by the carrier. On the basis of an order being placed through this site then the aforementioned terms are considered to be confirmed as accepted by the buyer of the order. |
